lyrics

Garden

with me from Lebanon,
my bride with me,
from Lebanon come and see,
from the heights of Amana,
from the heights of Senir and Hermon,
from the dens of the lions,
from the mountains of the leopards;
you have ravished my heart my sister my bride,
you have ravished my heart with one look of your eyes,
with one chain of your neck
how beautiful is your love my sister bride,
how much better is you love than wine
and the fragrance of your oils more than all spices
a honeycomb dripping, your lips my bride,
honey and milk under your tongue,
and the fragrance of your garments
as the fragrance of Lebanon
a garden locked, my sister my bride,
a spring locked, a fountain sealed
the plants of your orchard are pomegranates
with excellent fruits of henna with nard
nard and saffron, cane and cinnamon,
with all the woods of frankincense, myrrh and aloes,
with all the chief spices;
a fountain of gardens, a well of living waters
and streams from Lebanon;
awake, north wind;
and come, south wind;
blow on my garden,
let flow his spices, let come my beloved
to his garden, and eat his excellent fruits.
